He took to Reddit to express his disappointment and was met with a hopeful reply in the comments.

The OP brought receipts (literally) to prove his unwavering commitment to the brand, with screenshots showcasing at least 18 different items bought just this year alone. In the second picture, we can see the ROG Delta headset was purchased in April, and it’s still under warranty till 31 January 2027. This is a premium headset; it costs $270 normally, though it’s on sale for just $199 on Best Buy right now.

Asus’ official support policies say that free accessories, such as a mouse with a laptop, are not covered under warranty. But accessories bundled with peripherals are indeed covered under the same terms as the peripheral itself. Since a wireless receiver is a key component of the headset, it should be replaced in case of a defect or hardware failure. However, if you lose it or break it yourself, that’s a different story.

Since the customer was asking for a replacement outright instead of opening a ticket for a defect, it’s possible that customer service simply wasn’t equipped to help him out.
